Background
Lilin holds a B.A. in Mind-Body Medicine and an M.A. in Bioethics from New York University,
and later completed her M.S. in Mental Health Counseling at the University of
Rochester—well known for experiential dynamic therapy and mind-body healing approaches.
Among her proudest moments are helping marginalized survivors of complex PTSD regain
balance in their lives, just as she once did with the support of her own therapists.
Focus
Lilin specializes in addressing issues such as:
● Complex trauma (cPTSD)
● Anxiety/depression
● Medically unexplained chronic pain
● Low self-esteem
● Interpersonal Difficulties/Attachment wounds
● Addictions
● Difficult Life Transitions
Philosophy
As an integrative therapist, she draws from trauma-informed approaches including EMDR,
IFS, Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness. Her style is warm, mindful, and authentic. Clients
often share that working with her gets to the heart of their concerns quickly, creating space for
meaningful insight and lasting change.
She believes healing begins with connection: reconnecting mind and body, making sense of
difficult memories, and rebuilding trust in oneself and relationships.
Every therapist brings a unique gift to their work. For Lilin, it is walking the fine line between
science and spirituality—holding both the clarity of scientific thinking and the depth of clinical
intuition. She ensures clients understand the healing process from a neuropsychological
perspective while also reconnecting with their most authentic inner self. To stay grounded, she
invests in her own healing and meets weekly with supervisors who have decades of clinical
expertise.
Research & Growth
With over six years of psychology research experience, Lilin is currently leading a project on the
essential healing elements for complex PTSD survivors. She also contributes to studies on
spirituality in counselling, mindfulness, and chronic pain. Staying at the forefront of
therapeutic knowledge strengthens her practice and allows her to bridge research with lived
experience in the therapy room.
Outside the Therapy Room
Beyond her clinical and research work, Lilin loves cooking and exploring cuisines from different
cultures. She dreams of being an anthropologist in another life, enjoys hiking and connecting
with nature, and finds joy in singing a cappella and dancing—awkwardly, but wholeheartedly!
