Hayley Rose Glaholt is licensed by the Ontario Association for Family Mediation

Focus areas

Hayley has worked with families since 2017, specializing in parental conflict, communication strategies, power imbalances, and family violence. Dr. Glaholt is an Accredited Family Mediator (Acc. FM) through the Ontario Association for Family Mediation and is a Clinical Panel member of the Office of the Children’s Lawyer. She served as Director of Onsite Mediation for Toronto Family Mediation Services (formerly mediate393) from 2020 to 2022 and has coached extensively with York University’s Certificate in Dispute Resolution and Riverdale Mediation.

As an empathetic listener and skilled communicator, Hayley exhibits professionalism, sensitivity, and compassion when working with children and families. She will receive her Masters of Social Work from the University of Toronto in 2025, specializing in Children and Their Families, and is currently completing a year-long practicum at Boost Child & Youth Advocacy Centre in Toronto as a trauma therapist for children and families. Hayley formerly worked at Trails Youth Initiative providing guidance to at-risk youth aged 11-16. She will offer therapy to children and youth at Leaside Therapy when she becomes a Registered Social Worker.

Hayley earned her Ph.D. in Religion, Ethics, and Public Life from Northwestern University in 2014. She is an experienced lecturer on issues related to the Link” between child abuse, domestic violence, animal abuse, and elder abuse. Hayley is known for providing engaging and informative presentations and has a passion for teaching. She is also the co-founder and Executive Director of SafePet Ontario, a Canadian charity serving survivors of family violence, human trafficking, and their pets.
